When you click a link to a retailer on our site and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. The price you pay is the same whether you use our link or not. These commissions fund the site and keep the content free.
Programs we participate in
We participate in affiliate programs including the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and affiliate networks and individual retailer programs. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. Outbound gear links pass through a short-link redirect (go.veryation.com) so the retailer can credit the referral. Every affiliate link is labeled "Paid link" where it appears.
How affiliate links do not affect our advice
Commissions do not determine our recommendations. We recommend gear by category and use case, and we would give the same advice with no affiliate program at all. When the right answer is to buy nothing yet, we say so.
Why we link out instead of quoting prices
Gear prices and availability change constantly. Rather than publish numbers that go stale, we link to retailers so you always see current pricing.
